(1) A Prepping Institutions, Programs, Employers, and Learners through Incentives for Nursing Education (PIPELINE) Fund is created to reward performance and excellence among public postsecondary nursing education programs.
(2) As used in this section, the term “institution” means a school district career center under s. 1001.44 that offers a licensed practical nurse program, a charter technical career center under s. 1002.34 that offers a licensed practical nurse program, a Florida College System institution, or a state university. (3) Subject to appropriation, each institution shall receive an allocation based on the performance of its respective nursing education program or programs according to the following metrics:(a) The number of nursing education program completers, by program.
(b)1. The first-time National Council of State Boards of Nursing Licensing Examination passage rate of the institution’s nursing education program completers, by program.
2. The allocations shall reward excellence among nursing education programs with an average first-time National Council of State Boards of Nursing Licensing Examination passage rate above the national average.
(4) The Board of Governors shall adopt regulations and the State Board of Education shall adopt rules to administer this section.
