Project Description:
24-Hr Walk-in crisis support for individuals & families with mental health & substance abuse problems. Through early intervention & short term treatment, the goal is to assess needs & link people with appropriate services rather than costly inpatient services, hospital ERs & jail.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
In Manatee Cty, where this model was piloted, there was a savings the first yr of $697,000 in publicly funded impatient psychiatric services alone.
