Project Description:
To continue Seminole County Drug Court and the Department of Community Corrections outpatient services that was implemented by last years Community Budget Request. Services began July 26, 2001. These programs are fully functional and highly effective diversion programs for the 18th Circuit, which increases public safety and decreases crime. The cooperation between the Courts, States Attorney Office, Public Defenders Office, Probation and Community Corrections, and the Grove Counseling Center makes these highly effective programs. These proven models reduce crime, recidivism and are highly cost effective.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Seventy Percent completion of one-year program drug free. Seventy percent will not be re-arrested for a new crime during the program. One hundred percent will be employed enrolled in school or in vocational training by completion of the program.
