Project Description:
Improved access to downtown Tampa, the Port of Tampa and the Channelside District, and surrounding areas; increased level of service on the Expressway which will result in accident reduction and improved safety; enhance security and communication for customers with greater mobility through electronic traffic monitoring and rerouting to state, city and county roads.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
Full operation of the improvements at maximum use will be completed 4-5 years in advance, resulting in reduced travel time for commuters, tourists and commercial vehicles, greater safety, less congestion on the entire road system, increased recurring revenue for the Expressway Authority to finance future improvements.
