OEA has been selected to serve as the "host airport" for the National Business Aviation Association's annual convention in 2002,2003 and 2006. The Association hopes to select Orlando to serve again in 2007 and 2011;however, the location choice for those years has not been finalized. Orlando only received the 2002 opportunity after conference organizers canceled their original site in Los Angeles.

Project Description:
To provide for design and construction for the upgrading of airfield lighting and safety related facilities that are nearing the end of their service life and require replacement and/or rehabilitation.
Measurable Outcome Anticipated:
These improvements will provide substantial economic benefit to our community and state by ensuring that Orlando Executive Airport can provide the highest standard of service to NBAA and encourage them to hold future conventions in Orlando.
