Project Description:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

FAMU Institute on Urban Policy and Commerce, in keeping with the mission objectives adopted by the Board of Regents, is establishing local technical assistance centers in the nine urban cities (Jacksonville, Daytona Beach, Orlando, West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Tampa, St. Petersburg and Pensacola) to (1) improve urban high unemployment rate and low income levels including a focus on youth employement, women owner enterprises and urban manufacturing and (2) reduce poverty and high school drop outs and aid female head of households.  As part of a partnership with FAMU Institute on Urban Policy & Commerce FMTC will provide business development and training services for the urban technical assistance centers in 9 cities statewide.
