This project supports development of the I-4 technology corridor, which will grow the per capita wages throughout Central Florida. It also contributes to the growth in sales tax revenues and tourism tax revenues. The CCIC enhances the performance of SR 528, I-4, Florida's Turnpike, OIA, Port Canaveral, and Port of Tampa and facilitates the restructuring of bus service in the International Drive Retail Area activity center. |

This project will build upon Orange County's recently completed Canadian Court Intermodal Center (CCIC) Concept Development Study for this intermodal terminal facility on Orange County property. The current study is a component of the transportation program for aggressive expansion of the Orange County Convention Center, currently the second largest convention center in the United States. The completed project will serve the International Drive Resort Area Activity Center (IDRA), which stretches between the Universal Studios Florida and Sea World attractions. |
