The Public Service Commission Nominating Council was created by Section 350.031 of the Florida Statutes, for the purpose of screening and nominating applicants for appointment by the Governor to fill vacancies on the Florida Public Service Commission.
The Council consists of 12 members: six appointed by the President of the Senate and six appointed by the Speaker of the House. The Council usually meets twice a year.

NOTICE OF MEETING OF THE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION NOMINATING COUNCIL
The Florida Public Service Commission Nominating Council will be holding a public meeting on August 12, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. to be conducted virtually as described in the Notice of Meeting linked in this announcement. The purpose of the meeting is to designate the most qualified applicants to be interviewed as candidates for the one-term vacancy on the Florida Public Service Commission. Details of the meeting, including instructions for attending, providing public comment, and an agenda, are all included in the Notice of Meeting.
