To maintain current level of access to antiepileptic medications by low-income Florida residents with epilepsy. |

Measurable Outcome Anticipated: |
Will save taxpayers the cost of frequent emergency room visits and will help epilepsy patients to acquire/maintain medical stability, possibly leading to employment. Untreated epilepsy can be life altering as well as life threatening. The average cost of the medication a single patient receives from the State Pharmacy is $1,4000 annually, compared to numerous ER visits per year, averaging $2,000 each. |
