Project Description: |

The Juvenile Assessment Center provides multi-agency assessment of youth entering the juvenile justice system. They recieve statutory assessment based on established criteria and are then provided with immediate secondary assessment when mental health and substance abuse risks are noted. The center also provides service by housing the appropriate counseling services to support one-stop services for youth in crisis. Counselors for status offenders, probation offenders, and a truancy center complete the multi-agency response. Direct Service outlined in this request includes 24-hour secure detention services by the local Sherriff, intake counselors and operations and maintenance dollars for the faculty. |
