OPS House Messenger Clerk
General Summary
The Office of the Clerk is seeking an OPS House Messenger Clerk. This is full-time temporary employment during the legislative session (February 22 through April 30, 2021).
Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Transports documents to the Senate and other legislative offices in a timely and professional manner.

Proofreads documents for accuracy, paying special attention to grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

Interprets rules, regulations, and policies.

Coordinates and assists in the preparation of special reports.

Maintains files of office correspondence, research materials, and related information.
Preference will be given to qualified applicants who demonstrate good spelling and grammar skills. Total availability is required during legislative sessions.
NOTE: Extensive evening work with compensation is required for this temporary position during legislative sessions.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma and 2 years of secretarial and/or clerical experience. College education can substitute at the rate of 30 semester or 45 quarter hours for each year of required work experience.
Rate of Pay
$12.06/hour
