By increasing the City's reclaimed water system distribution and storage capacity, the project will help supply the regional demand for reclaimed water and reduce nutrient loading to the Caloosahatchee River and Billy Creek, which is an impaired water body listed by the Department of Environmental Protection.  See supporting documentation.
